Dale
Scott Marion - Founder - Chief Integration
Officer
By
the age of 14 Dale was a self taught pianist,
vocalist, lyricist and performer. Learning
multiple instruments and recording various
commercial works before the age of 19. During
this time Dale was also engaged in computer
graphical design, mastering Corel and Photoshop
from their earliest releases. Despite requests
from his schools to advance Dale beyond
his years, Dales’ parents feared he
would become an outcast and insured his
ability to socialize and communicate with
his peers.
Dale
graduated with honors from the Honorable
Kennedy Collegiate High School in Windsor,
Ontario in 1992. From there he began a career
in signage structure design and engineering,
working for a large Windsor based pylon,
fascia and structure development firm called
Labonte, In his first year Dale won 3 first
place awards for his work in signage design
and development by the Sign Association
of Canada. After this, Labonte changed ownership,
and Dale left the firm, refusing to be a
grunt to the new owners, who’s main
pride was their award winning designer.
He then began freelancing, experimenting
and learning about all forms of computer
graphics design, computer and web software
development, multi media development and
3D animation and specialty 3D creation.
Dale
brought to life Aurora Digital Graphics
International. A new world wide company
specializing in digitally enhanced graphics,
multi-media, web and new technology development.
Because of his extreme specialization and
growing reputation for developing the impossible,
some of Dales initial clients were The City
Of Windsor, Landmark Entertainment (Disney
Parks Development), East Side Mario's, McDonalds,
Australia. Body Glove Surf Gear. Atari,
and a host of others.
After
the internet boom Dale moved himself and
his business to Niagara Falls Canada. This
is when Dale quickly became acquainted with
his Toronto competition. Marion set out
to quickly shake up the Toronto design market
and succeeded by taking home the First Place
1999 Focus on imaging award and the DX4
award for most innovative street furniture
design, roughly the same time Marion passed
the MENSA entry examination, and the IHIQS
testing process.
From
there Marion lost himself in the pursuit
of developing a new technology that would
display true 3D holographic images using
full color, full motion, and a full range
of view, visible in 100% daylight, and in
2002 HOLO FX was born. Through the fortunate
partnering with business and fashion mogul
Joseph Mimran Dale was able to successfully
complete his dream designing one of the
most unique display systems the world had
ever seen.
Through
3 years of working on HOLO FX, creating
the system and apparatus that drives HOLO
FX and PS3D. Dale was involved in developing
full motion PS3D holograms for companies
such as Rock and Republic Jeans, Presidents
Choice, BMW, Cadillac, Moet and Chandon,
Pink Tartan, Alfred Sung and Apple. In
September of 2004 Dale was nominated as
one of MIT’s Technology Review Magazines
Top 100 technological developers for his
innovative work in 3D stereoscopy and holography.
Dale
departed from HOLO FX after completing his
technology and selling controlling interest
in the company.
Soon
thereafter Dale submitted patent applications
and began work on a new digital signage
software system that allows for a digital
display to track and report the number of
viewers who were subject to specific advertisements
played on the system. He named the product
AVITAR, using various team members, close
friends and confidants to help code and
deliver various segments of the product,
Dale completed the first prototype model
of AVITAR within 6 months of its conception.
In June 2005 AVITAR was released to the
public through an innovative new media technology
development company called OneSmart.
From
there Dale built in functionality and value
added service offerings to the product to
offer the worlds best digital signage software,
and in February of 2006 NUVA Technologies
was born.
His
experience and accomplishments include.
-
winner of three 1st place signage design
awards from Signage Association Of Canada
- Inventor/Development of PS3D, auto stereoscopic
display process and hardware for HOLO FX
- Inventor of first 360 degree video holographic
display prototype (not yet released to market)
